The local authority energy day toolkit has been developed by the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes, working with the UK Home Energy Conservation Association (HECA) and the Energy Saving Trust. It aims to help local authority officers to influence key decision makers to make energy a priority on their agenda.
As officers often struggle to achieve this engagement, hosting a local authority energy day will help to raise awareness of climate change amongst councillors and senior managers and demonstrate to them the importance of energy in the wider context of the local authorities remit. It will also highlight to those key decision makers, the particular role they can play in driving forward the energy agenda.

To help you hold an energy day, we have developed a 'how to' guide with advice and tips on arranging the day.
Some files are quite large so you may need to choose the save option rather than open. All the resources are also available on CD, including video footage you can use on the day. Please email us to request your copy.
